About This Tool

In the mid 19th century, following the gold rush in the Fraser Valley, the influx of migrants, and a territorial dispute with the United States, the British imperial government sent naval forces to Victoria to fortify Canada’s west coast. In Victoria Harbour, 21 ships belonging to the Navy’s early war effort have been moored, and details of the vessels are kept in a random tool for further examination.

Most of these ships were built in the mid 19th century, when the Victorian Navy set out specific requirements for shipbuilding to meet the demands of World War II, a detailed list of ships, including their sturdiness, size and size, carrying capacity, design and type, can be found in this generator. These ships became almost the most important foreign weapon in all of Canada and a key element in Canada’s success as a naval power.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of ships of the Victorian Naval Forces.
