About This Tool

Oxyopidae Species, mostly green, gray, or Tan, are distributed in clusters of plants, moving their hind legs forward and lifting their front legs. Easily hidden from view, they move on their hind legs, raising their forelegs so they can jump and pounce on prey. Although less dangerous and less likely to attack humans, it’s best to leave them alone. If you piss off Oxyopidae, it will jump in your face.

Some of the Oxyopidae Species are diverse enough to be important as biological controls in agricultural systems. The random tool lists 152 known Oxyopidae Species in detail and uses a generator to record the Species’ name, discoverer and time of first discovery. The valuable information left by the forefathers is very important for guiding future generations to do further research.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Oxyopidae species.
