About This Tool

Strumigenys Species is a small species of ant, usually around 2 mm long. This ant looks strange, or can be said to look unusual “Ugly”, the head of the cyst as if there were two tumors, hence the name “Tumor Ant”. The genus is a large genus consisting of 837 living species and 4 fossil species. Only 252 genera and species were selected for introduction in the random tool, the detailed information can be further viewed.

Strumigenys Species nest in the nests of powerful ants, presumably feeding on the garbage and excrement of other ants. The generator records the complete scientific names, discoverers, and exact time of discovery of all these genera and species. This genus and species has important reference value for insect and biology researchers and is also one of the first choice insects for many researchers to study.
