About This Tool

The Privy Council is an advisory body to the British monarchy. It used to be very powerful, but today it is only ceremonial. The Privy Council has different committees, of which the British Cabinet has most of the power. The Privy Council also has judicial functions and is primarily exercised by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. The Privy Council has supreme power, including the power of deliberation, decision-making and so on.
