About This Tool

As a part of the British government system, the Privy Council reformed the Privy Council and strengthened the royal authority actively. The Early Privy Council became the advisory council. This unwieldy structure, as well as the diversity of political opinions from different social strata, makes the small efficiency of the advisory council particularly low and makes it difficult to make timely decisions in an ever-changing society; moreover, the business of the great aristocracy is busy, they had to deal with clans and servants, so they rarely served the king well. Between the 1837 and the reign of Queen Victoria in 1901, the random tool recorded the appointment of a total of 587 advisers, all of whom had been supported by various political parties.

These advisers had a voice and a voice in the day to day decisions that Queen Victoria made. And their opinions and suggestions will greatly influence the Queen’s judgment. The generator keeps a detailed list of advisers for each year, including dates of birth and death.
