About This Tool

The modern Canadian parliament began in 1867. That year, the British parliament passed the British North America Act 1867, which united the province of Canada, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia into one Commonwealth, making it Britain’s First Dominion, known as the Canadian Dominion, then other provinces joined the union. In 1926, Britain recognized Canada’s sovereignty in international negotiations and affairs and gained diplomatic independence. After being added to the Commonwealth in 1931, its parliament also gained equal legislative power with the British parliament. In March 1982, the Canadian Constitution Act was passed by the House of Lords and the House of Commons, and the Canadian parliament gained full power to legislate and amend the constitution.

The random tool generated 226 items, recording the member of the parliament list. They include, perhaps, Jean-Paul Racine, Bob Rae, Reynolds Rapp, Joseph Read, John Reid, Peter Reilly, and others.
