About This Tool

When 1867 was founded, it inherited the constitutional monarchy’s Parliamentary system or parliament. The Federal Parliament is the highest legislative body, composed of the Queen (represented by the governor), the Senate, and the House of Representatives. The governor has no executive power and his main responsibility is to convene and dissolve parliament and sign acts passed by it. The party that won the majority of seats in the House of Representatives in the general elections formed the government, with the party leader serving as prime minister. The Prime Minister and members of the cabinet must be members of parliament. In addition, at least one member of the cabinet must be a senator who holds the position of head of government in the Senate. The cabinet is collectively answerable to parliament.

The random tool generated 299 entries, recording the member of the parliament list. Among them are, perhaps, the familiar Jacques Saada, Terry Sargeant, Michael Savage, Alfred William Savary, Francis Scarggera, Edward Schreyer, Joseph Emm Seagram, and others.
