About This Tool

Emmanuel Levinas, also translated as Levinas, was born on December 30, 1905, in Kaunas, Lithuania. As a child, he received a traditional Jewish education in Lithuania. After World War II, he studied the Talmud under a mysterious Jewish tutor, Monsieur Chouchani. It was not until later in his life that Emmanuel Levinas acknowledged the importance of the clay's influence on his scholarship.
