(#1) Spider-Man And Deadpool
Some initially complained that the burgeoning bromance between Spider-Man and Deadpool was simply being “forced” by Marvel Comics in an attempt to mash two of their hottest properties together. However, the chemistry between the two red-clad, wisecracking vigilantes is undeniable, as is their comedic timing.
Spidey and Poolie’s adventures went so well that the two were even selected for a rare ongoing team-up series, proving that they really do belong together. As one can probably imagine, this was a much cooler development for Deadpool than it was for Spider-Man.

(#2) Cable And Deadpool
Deadpool and Cable are easily one of the greatest “buddy cop” combinations ever put together. Pairing the hyper-serious, time-traveling son of Cyclops with everyone’s favorite murder clown seemed like a ridiculous idea at the time, but the two had instant chemistry and went on to share a team-up title for over 50 issues.
Like any good bromance should, the two brought out the best in each other. Cable convinced Deadpool to take superheroics a little more seriously, and Deadpool taught the mutant messiah to lighten up a little.

(#3) Luke Cage And Iron Fist
Luke Cage and Iron Fist turned bromance into a business by creating the Heroes for Hire, a for-profit superheroing outfit. While the two are far more altruistic than their business model would suggest, they definitely approach heroics from two very different perspectives, and fall into the classic “odd couple” model.
Luke is a street-wise badass with a temper forged in Harlem, and Danny Rand is a rich guy who was raised by kung fu monks in a metaphysical mountain realm. Somehow, they bring it all together to become the tightest pair of bros in the Marvel universe.

(#4) Green Lantern And Green Arrow
Oh, sure, put the two green guys together! When Green Lantern and Green Arrow were given a team-up title in the 1970s, it may have seemed like an odd choice, almost like the editors just wanted people with similar names in the same series. It proved to be instant magic, however.
The fiery liberal Oliver Queen paired nicely with the more conservative, military-oriented Hal Jordan, and this political dichotomy allowed the two to participate in more socially-relevant adventures than the average couple of bros. Green Lantern pulled the ultimate bro move when he returned Green Arrow to life during his brief time as a cosmic entity.

(#5) Wolverine And Nightcrawler
The gruff, violent, beer-swilling Canadian Wolverine is pretty much the opposite of the dignified and deeply religious German Nightcrawler. Yet somehow, the two X-Men formed a deep and meaningful bromance almost immediately.
Nightcrawler made a point of respecting the differences between the two and was convinced that an honorable man existed within Wolverine, something that Logan truly appreciated and treasured. Upon Nightcrawler’s death (or one of them, anyway), Wolverine even hauled a piano up a mountain to a remote monastery to honor one of his friend’s last wishes. Of course, this being Wolverine, he also later slashed his way into heaven to forcibly bring his old friend back into the land of the living. Comics are the best.

(#6) Wolverine And Colossus
Wolverine and Colossus might be the only bros to have their own special combo move. The Fastball Special is a true comic book legend. It consists of Colossus hurling the snarling Canadian at whatever opponent is foolish enough to draw their ire.
Fewer fans may know about another tradition the two friends share, one where Wolverine and the big Russian swap stories in the woods while Colossus paints and Logan drinks beer. Oh, also Colossus paints, which is freakin' adorable. These are two dudes who really understand one another.

(#7) Blue Beetle And Booster Gold
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold might seem like a weird pairing at first, with one being a brilliant engineer and the other a time-traveling celebrity, but the two share a light-hearted personality and a love of laughter.
This has led them to form a super-close bromance through their stints on various versions of the Justice League. Who can resist the way they constantly set-up each others’ jokes? The two even have their own trademark joint-laugh: “Bwa ha ha ha!” It’s hard not to laugh right along with them.

(#8) Spider-Man And The Human Torch
One’s a radioactive webslinger who can stick to walls. The other is a cosmically-enhanced man who can engulf his entire body in flames. One’s secret identity is Peter Parker, the insular nerd, while the other is Johnny Storm, international celebrity and renowned lady-killer.
Spider-Man and the Human Torch couldn’t be more different, which might be what makes them such good bros. The two are antagonizing each other more frequently than they’re collaborating, but when the chips are down the two have teamed up to dole out some seriously devastating butt-whoopings. They were even roommates for a brief period which, admittedly, did not turn out well. There can be too much of a good thing.

(#9) Dick Grayson And Damian Wayne
When Batman appeared to be dead in 2009, he was replaced by long-time understudy Dick Grayson. The role of Robin was filled by Bruce Wayne’s bratty, half-al Ghul son, Damian Wayne. The partnership definitely got off to a rocky start, but the two formed a begrudging respect for another that blossomed into a full-on bromance by the time the original Batman returned. When Damian told Grayson that they had been “the best,” shortly before his demise, plenty of fans agreed with him.

(#10) Flash (Wally West) And Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
Various iterations of Flash and Green Lantern have gotten along well, but the Wally West and Kyle Rayner versions are definitely the best example of bromance. They served in those roles for decades, and during that time often acted as the "youth" presence on the Justice League roster.
This naturally fostered a friendship that had plenty of time to develop into a bromance, which it totally did. Like any good pairing of superheroic bros, these two brought out the best, and occasionally the worst, in each other.

(#11) Hellboy And Abe Sapien
The bromance between Hellboy and Abe Sapien might bring together two drastically different characters, but that makes it all the more special. Hellboy is an actual literal demon from Hell, whereas Abe is a sentient fish-like humanoid named after Abraham Lincoln. Oh, and the fish-man is permanently confined to water.
Despite their differences, the two developed a strong office friendship and even became each others’ confidantes for their ridiculously complicated emotional issues. This bromance was easily the best part of the Hellboy movies.

(#12) Captain Marvel And Spider-Woman
Who says guys are the only ones who can have bromances? Captain Marvel and Spider-Woman exude all the hallmarks of being true bros, including hanging out in bars and constantly smacktalking each other.
While Carol Danvers and Jessica Drew find time to give each other plenty of emotional support, too, they’re at their best when either antagonizing one another or teaming up to kick some (usually alien) butt. Although their circumstances have changed over the years, it's always a delight to see the two play of each other.

(#13) Sunspot And Cannonball
Sunspot and Cannonball have the bromantic distinction of serving on several superhero teams together. They first met on the New Mutants, then migrated over to a few different iterations of the X-Men. They hit the big time when they were both invited to join the Avengers by Captain America.
Roberto da Costa (Sunspot) and Sum Guthrie (Cannonball) come from very, very different backgrounds. That hasn’t stopped them from spreading their particular brand of friendship all across the galaxy. They’re both founding members of the U.S.Avengers team, and the two seem destined for even greater things.

(#14) Beast And Wonder Man
True, Beast and Wonder Man don't hang out much anymore, since Hank McCoy is no longer an Avenger and Simon Williams is (usually) dead. But they were the original odd couple of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for quite some time during the 1970s.
Despite the fact that Beast is a scientist and Wonder Man is a Hollywood actor, it was often Beast who was the radical wisecracker of the pair while Wonder Man played the straight man. Whenever the two get back together, it’s always a good time.

(#15) Harper Row And Spoiler (And Cassandra Cain)
Traditional gender roles aren’t really a thing for Batman’s young female allies, so there’s no problem describing the friendship between Harper Row and Stephanie Brown, AKA Spoiler, as a bromance.
The two hang out, game, talk about stuff, and bicker like schoolchildren as they fight armies of bad people. The pair formed an almost familial relationship, and when Cassandra Cain entered their circle she became an instant addition to the fellowship. Together, they can take down anything their enemies throw at them. Talk about squad goals.

Jesse Custer and Cassidy the Vampire’s bromance is one of the key selling points of Preacher. One’s a vengeful Texan with a godly superpower, and the other is a drunken Irish vampire just looking for a good time.
Together, they set out to kick God’s ass for doing such a bad job with the state of the world. Jesse and Cassidy go through a lot rockier times than most other bros, but they always show up for one another when it really counts. That’s what bromance is all about.

A lot of the bromances in comic books feature an “odd couple” pairing, but nowhere is that more apparent than with Hercules, the boisterous Greek god, and Amadeus Cho, the teenaged supergenius.
The two happened to fall in together while trying to aid their mutual friend, the Hulk, and decided they made a good enough team to stick together. Herc helped Amadeus see some sights he never thought he would, and Amadeus helped Hercules to actually think before charging into battle. The two gained a lot more common ground once Amadeus began to serve as the Totally Awesome Hulk.

Sure, Rick Grimes isn’t a traditional superhero, but he’s definitely a hero who pulls off some pretty super feats. Rick is every bit the badass in the comics as he is in the show, but the comics also add in a real bromance with Tyreese, a character he meets while stationed at the prison.
The two hit it off immediately when Rick recognizes Tyreese from his brief NFL career, which creates instant respect between them. They soon realize they make a scarily effective zombie killing team, and go on to share many head-bashing bonding moments thereafter.
