  How To Avoid Them: Chucky can be relentless, but he's also fairly vulnerable. He's not much bigger than a toddler, and runs about as fast as one. He's also not immortal in his doll form and can be offed through conventional means like bullets and fire.

  Biggest Blunder: Assuming he is immortal as a doll and putting himself in situations with no regard for his own safety.

  (#2) The Grandparents ('The Visit')

  Hunting Style: The "Grandparents" (Nana and Pop Pop), are actually mental patients who have assumed the identities of the kids' actual grandparents. Having never met them before, the children willingly come to their house when invited. 

  How To Avoid Them: While they may be psychotic villains, they are still geriatrics. An average adult should be able to overpower either of them easily, and they're not in any shape to go chasing after anyone who attempts to flee.

  Biggest Blunder: They underestimated the children, who were able to overpower them.

  Hunting Style: Each one of the Puppet Master's puppets has its own slaying style, but they tend to all work together to subdue their marks.

  How To Avoid Them: While many of the puppets are equipped with weapons, they're still just puppets. A fully capable human should be able to outrun the puppets without much effort.

  Biggest Blunder: Often times the puppets tend to work on their own, which makes them a lot less threatening than when they work together as a pack.

  Hunting Style: Almost all "slow" zombies depicted in movies are based on George Romero's zombies from Night of the Living Dead. They mindlessly wander until they find a fresh human, at which point they try to chow down. 

  How To Avoid Them: Romero zombies are incredibly slow and stupid. Most can be avoided by power-walking away from them, and a good blow to the head will take them out permanently. 

  Biggest Blunder: Romero zombies will follow their targets at all costs, even if they walk directly into a trap.

  Hunting Style: The Blob is an amoeboidal alien that absorbs and dissolves its targets, growing larger with each conquest.

  How To Avoid Them: The Blob is incredibly slow, relying on its own exponential growth to better capture its prey. You can easily outrun it in its early stages, or even capture it in a glass jar. It's also extremely sensitive to cold temperatures and can be frozen solid. 

  Biggest Blunder: Landing on a planet that can get pretty cold.

  (#6) The Entity ('It Follows')

  Hunting Style: The Entity follows its marks wherever they go, walking in a straight line until it catches up to them.

  How To Avoid Them: The Entity passes from target to target like a hot-potato STD; sleeping with someone means it will stop following you and start following them. It also walks at a consistently slow speed. If you really want to avoid the Entity, all you have to do is book a flight to the other side of the world and hook up with a random person. It will take an incredibly long time for the creature to catch up to them and then make its way all the way back to you.

  Biggest Blunder: Walking in a straight line directly toward its target. This makes it incredibly easy to pick the Entity out in a crowd.

  (#7) The Blind Man ('Don't Breathe')

  Hunting Style: Norman Nordstrom, also known as the Blind Man, is a Gulf War veteran with highly attuned senses. He uses his hearing, his sense of smell, and his knowledge of his own home to skillfully knock off intruders without ever seeing them. 

  How To Avoid Them: Don't breathe. Also, don't break into his house in the first place. If you do wind up in a bad situation, overpoweringly loud noises (like an alarm system) can disorient him.

  Biggest Blunder: He accidentally fires on his abductee, who is pregnant with his child, instead of the people breaking into his house.

  Hunting Style: Ben Willis, better known as the Fisherman, tends to target those against whom he has a personal grudge. He uses a meat hook and various other methods to take care of business.

  How To Avoid Them: The Fisherman only strikes the teenagers in the film because they ran him over, so it's best to avoid getting on his bad side. If you do, remember he's just a simple human. He can be eliminated just like anyone else, and he's no faster than your average man.

  Biggest Blunder: The Fisherman accidentally slays his own son with a meat hook when he tries to intervene during a fight.

  How To Avoid Them: The easiest way to avoid the Leprechaun's wrath is to not swipe his gold. His short legs also make him fairly slow, so outrunning him is a distinct possibility. He can also be drained of his magic abilities in the presence of a four-leafed clover.

  Biggest Blunder: He often gets trapped in cramped spaces for long periods of time, as people usually learn about his weakness to clovers.

  Hunting Style: Pennywise feeds on fear, so he does everything he can to make himself as terrifying as possible. This is why he takes the form of a clown, but he can also transform into other deep-rooted fears. Once he has you, he will either rip you to shreds or feed you to the Deadlights. 

  How To Avoid Them: Pennywise is localized to Derry, so theoretically you could just catch the next bus out of town and wipe your hands of him. 

  Biggest Blunder: Pennywise tends to tease his prey, often letting them go in order to build up their fear of him over time. He lets pretty much every member of the Losers' Club go at some point; all they have to do is take the hint and leave town for good.

  How To Avoid Them: Leatherface rarely leaves his home, and he's kind of a lumbering oaf. Targets can typically outrun Leatherface as long as he doesn't sneak up on them. He's also fairly simple-minded, and is often afraid when people unexpectedly enter his house.

  Biggest Blunder: Chasing Sally onto a highway. His brother is run over by a truck in the process, and Sally manages to escape.

  Hunting Style: Ghostface is more an idea than a person. Several different people have donned the mask, but most of them use knives as their tool of choice and like to taunt their prey over the phone.

  How To Avoid Them: The person behind the mask is always a human, so Ghostface has all the weaknesses of an average person. A particularly fast person could likely outrun him, and it's possible to slay most iterations of Ghostface as easily as you would a normal person.

  Biggest Blunder: Whichever person is behind the mask, they all seem to have a vendetta against Sidney Prescott. Two of the slayers are knocked off when they take a break from their carnage spree to monologue at poor Sidney.

He's also - technically - a human, and can be incapacitated to some extent by fire, bullets, and other traditional means of defense.

  Biggest Blunder: He always seems to come after Laurie Strode, who has a pretty good track record of defeating him.

  How To Avoid Them: Freddy is most powerful in the dream world, so avoiding sleep is a decent temporary solution. He's extremely vulnerable when pulled into the real world however, and is only as strong as a normal person.

  Biggest Blunder: Anytime he gets dragged into the real world.
