How To Avoid Them: The Blob is incredibly slow, relying on its own exponential growth to better capture its prey. You can easily outrun it in its early stages, or even capture it in a glass jar. It's also extremely sensitive to cold temperatures and can be frozen solid.
Biggest Blunder: Landing on a planet that can get pretty cold.

Hunting Style: Norman Nordstrom, also known as the Blind Man, is a Gulf War veteran with highly attuned senses. He uses his hearing, his sense of smell, and his knowledge of his own home to skillfully knock off intruders without ever seeing them.
How To Avoid Them: Don't breathe. Also, don't break into his house in the first place. If you do wind up in a bad situation, overpoweringly loud noises (like an alarm system) can disorient him.
Biggest Blunder: He accidentally fires on his abductee, who is pregnant with his child, instead of the people breaking into his house.
