About This Tool

The Kingdom of Scotland has its own independent legal system. In principle, the legal system is based on Roman law and the Corpus Juris Civilis. Scottish jurists, many of whom had traveled to the continent to study law, introduced Roman law to the legal system in their native land. But increasingly outdated laws are no longer sufficient to meet the needs of the local population, so in 2011 the Scottish Government rewrote and amended 458 laws, with detailed information compiled in a random tool.

Most of these laws were set up to deal with emergencies at the time. Many have looked through the generator to see the scope, number, and timing of each law, and have lamented that the Scottish government is finally willing to listen to the people in detail, be willing to genuinely enact legal provisions to address the most pressing needs of the people.
