About This Tool

The New York General Assembly is The lower house of The New York State Legislature. The New York State Assembly has 150 members serving two-year terms. The leader of the New York State Assembly is the Speaker of the house. As of now, there are 15 spokespeople on the random tool, all of whom belong to different parties and have some authority in local political management.

From the data recorded in the generator, we can also see the complete list, where the speaker came from, when he or she started and when he or she left, and how long he or she has served. The current Speaker of the House, Sheldon Silver, a Democrat, took office on February 11, 1994. This random tool, though, generated only a list of speakers who had served as speakers before the 18th century.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Speakers of the New York General Assembly.
