About This Tool

The Jamaican Parliament has its origins in British colonial times. The first dental legislature was established at the 1660, consisting of a dental governor appointed by the King of England and a council nominated by him. The 1944 election produced the First House of Representatives composed of members from different political parties. A total of 17 Jamaican House of Representatives Presidents have historically spoken as speakers, and a detailed list is compiled in this random tool.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives held office for varying lengths of time. Some serve only for a short period of one or two years, but more often they are appointed by the government or elected by the people after a five-year term in the House of Representatives in Jamaica. The full names, party affiliations, length of service, and dates of departure of the house speakers, as collated in the generator, are presented to friends who need to see them.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Speakers of the House of Representatives of Jamaica.
