About This Tool

South Dakota is a state of the Midwestern United States. It is rich in natural resources and has developed local industry and tourism. As one of the first states to be developed, South Dakota has been using different symbols to represent the states since its foundation. This tool generates symbols that have been or are being used for South Dakota, many of which are unexpected.

These symbols may seem random, but they come from one of the most important animals, plants, or birds in the area. The flag, insignia, slot, the most famous Ring-necked pheasant, American Pasque Flower, Black Hills Spruce, Coyote, and Walleyeu were at various times charged with acting as one of the symbolic symbols of the South Dakota.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of South Dakota state symbols.
