About This Tool
Since the first Sahitya Akademi Award was given in 1955, there have been tens of thousands of awards, big and small. The authors who won the Sahitya Akademi Award wrote mainly in one of India’s 24 languages. Today’s random tool features a list of 65 award-winning writers who have used Urdu for their writing. They use Urdu, the national language of Pakistan and one of the languages recognized by India’s constitution.
