About This Tool

The province of Newfoundland and Labrador, in the northeast corner of Canada, comprising the islands of Newfoundland and the mainland Labrador. On April 1, 1949, Canada became a province, the 10th province, the youngest province in Canada.

The population of this rugged land is 1.4 people per square kilometer. A fifth of the province’s 506,300 residents lives in St John’s on the east coast, while the rest live mostly in fishing villages. The random tool recorded in detail the population living in different towns in Newfoundland and Labrador. The generator recorded a roughly upward trend in the population compared to 2006 and 2011.
