About This Tool

New Mexico, the name comes from the Indian language, meaning “God of war. ”. The early Indians of the Navajo people, Apache, Pueblo, Utah, Chicarilla, and other places of residence. 1540, a Spanish explorer led by Colorado, arrived in search of the legendary seven “cities of gold. ”. 1610, the Spanish built the first white settlement in Santa Fe, the 1706 city of Albuquerque. 1821, Mexico declared its independence from Spain in an anti-Spanish uprising, making New Mexico a state. After the Mexican-American war of 1846-1848, it became the 47th state in the United States in 1912.
