Cantinfolas is a very interesting person. Charlie Chaplin once called the Mexican comedian and philanthropist “the greatest comedian in the world”. Cantinflas first attracted the attention of Latinos with a dozen films and then American audiences with his role as Passepartout in the 1956 film Around the World in Eighty Days. Google marked Cantinflas’107th birthday with doodles on Sunday. Cantinflas was born in 1911 in the slums of Mexico City, the son of a postal worker. 

Cantinfola is beloved by audiences for his role as El Peladito (a homeless character similar to Charlie Chaplin’s).
