In this case, the silk jersey dress is topped with loads of pearls and accessorized with not one but two garter belts.

It looks like the kind of attire you might see on a baby doll from the 1920s rather than something a grown woman wears when walking down the aisle.

Julia Roberts sports a hideous wedding dress as evil stepmother Clementianna. The feathers on the big, brassy ensemble almost look like daggers. Then again, with Roberts playing the villain, it makes sense for the dress to have a sinister edge.
