About This Tool

Compared with other continents such as Asia and Europe, South America’s economic aggregate is relatively small. In 2018, the Economy of South America totaled about $3.7 trillion, or about 4.3 percent of the world’s economy ($85.79 trillion). Of the 12 countries in South America, Brazil has the highest gross domestic product, at $1.87 trillion. Although Brazil’s economy has long been in the doldrums, its position as the largest economy in South America is relatively secure. In addition, the random tool collates GDP data from 13 other important countries in South America.

The full names of the cities, their GDP figures, and the dates of the statistics are all stored in the generator for further examination by interested friends. South America’s economy has soared in recent years, as natural and tourist resources have developed, along with other industries. However, the development of many countries in South America is still different from that of some countries in Southeast Asia and Europe, which is also caused by backward cultural and educational ideas.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of South American countries by GDP (nominal) per capita.
