About This Tool

Sound art began to appear at the end of the 20th century, using sound as the main creative medium, advocating respect for the sound itself, pay attention to active listening rather than “Creation” as a form of artistic expression. Internationally, almost every country has its own sound carnival, a tool that randomly selects nine of the world’s best-known sound festivals for presentation.

These festivals are born in different times, but they are all to honor and commemorate the original sound art. From the generator, we can learn about different countries, different sound-related organizations, what they were founded for, and what countries, places, forms, and outcomes they have hosted.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of sound art organizations and festivals.
