About This Tool

In the history of astronomy in the 17th century, there was a very rare “Phnom Penh Eclipse.”. More than 99 percent of the sun will be covered; in other words, the total solar eclipse will be similar to an annular one. In contrast to the 248 solar eclipses that also occurred in the 17th century, the random tool recorded 74 annular eclipses, 24 hybrid eclipses, and so on in this century.

These eclipses cover different ranges, and more detailed data can be found in the list of eclipses recorded by the generator. This includes data on the exact time, location, range, coordinates, type, central range, duration of coverage, Magnitude of each eclipse. What’s more, the solar eclipses of this century were observed over a large area, covering almost 90 percent of most countries in the world. That is to say, astronomy-loving friends do not have to make a big fuss, stay at home can enjoy this gluttonous feast.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of solar eclipses in the 17th century.
