About This Tool

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. In the 12th century, the random tool recorded a total of 250 solar eclipses on the planet, and many people witnessed the change at that time. The list includes the largest annular eclipse of the Sun since the 12th century, the closest to a total solar eclipse, as well as a variety of eclipses, making it ideal for those interested in astronomy to check out.

In this century there have been 92 partial eclipses, 82 circular eclipses, and 61 total eclipses, 15 of which were hybrid. Most eclipses occur four times a year, and in 1150, there are two lunar eclipses a month. Details about this century’s solar eclipses, including the date, time, type, location, and diameter range, can be seen through the generator.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of solar eclipses in the 12th century.
