About This Tool

Western Isles South is one of the 32 first-level administrative country subdivisions. With its vast land area and low population density, it is separated from the north by stormy The Minch and Little Minch, making it one of the most inaccessible parts of the UK and Europe. The island is rich in natural resources, but they remain in pristine condition, awaiting further exploration by scientists and scholars who want to learn more about them.

This random tool keeps track of 27 local Scientific interests. They have different precious resources, are distributed in different regions and cities, and even are generated at different times. The government lists these Scientific interests in SSSIs’ precious nature reserve, where they are strictly monitored and protected. For those who want to explore these sites, they need to be very clear with the government. General tours are not allowed for the time being.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in Western Isles South.
