About This Tool

Caithness, in the northeast of England, is home to numerous prehistoric ruins and abandoned castles on the coast. There are also a number of sites of Special Scientific Interest that have been listed as nature reserves in the UK, including the 65 sites recorded by a random tool. These sites are well known for their early development and for their contributions to Caithness’s local science.

Most of the Scientific Interests recorded in the generator have been around since the early days, and some have been added to the UK’s nature reserves in recent years. They are fully protected as scientific research sites for professional use, but they also make way for specific scientific developments and technological advances that allow these sites to be fully utilized, to create more valuable scientific products.
