About This Tool
Despite being affected by a number of economic disadvantages such as depressed commodity prices on the international market, declining fiscal revenues increased exchange rate fluctuations and currency depreciation, sub-Saharan Africa continues to be the fastest-growing region in the global retail and consumer goods sector, with strong growth potential. In Nigeria in particular, the number of modern western-style shopping centers is increasing and there is a tendency to gradually replace traditional, informal retailing. The tool randomly selected six of the major shopping centers for presentation.
The large shopping centers documented in the generator are located in Nigeria’s most popular tourist cities and regions, and they open at different times and can handle different volumes of traffic. But these are already the largest shopping centers in the region, with a multitude of stores that combine all the necessities, clothing, crafts, food, and services needed by tourists and locals alike.
