About This Tool

It is well known that the Scottish flag is a rectangle with a blue and white cross, symbolizing the X-shaped cross used in the martyrdom of Scotland’s patron saint, Andrew. The flag, which dates back to the ninth century, is the oldest and still widely used flag in Scotland. In addition, the random tool recorded 35 additional flags for different purposes that Scotland has used or is using.

The flag described above is mainly used on official occasions and is the national flag of Scotland. The other flags saved by the generator can be used on different occasions according to different adjustments and deformations. Some were changed in the early days of colonial rule, while others were used in other informal settings. Detailed information, including a reference picture of the flag, its purpose, when it was used, and a brief description, is stored in this random tool.
