About This Tool

Pius XI was the 257th Pope, ordained in 1879, a theologian and antiquarian, and a former curator of the Vatican Library. Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Benedict XV, he worked for the establishment of good relations between the Vatican and the Italian governments and for world peace. Agreements have been concluded with a number of countries affected by the aftermath of the First World War to strengthen and unite the Catholic church in those countries. In his 17 years on the throne, Pius XI has canonized 29 saints before and after his tenure, and the list is kept in a random tool.

These saints were ordained a few days apart, but they were the right hand of the Pius XI. You can use the generator to find out when, where, and the full name they were granted. Asylum also agreed during his reign that the Pope would participate in foreign affairs as head of the church. At the same time, an agreement was signed recognizing the legal effect of marriage in a church in Italy, making religious education compulsory for the children of Catholics and establishing Catholicism as the sole religion in Italy.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of saints canonized by Pope Pius XI.
