S. H. Kress & Co. is the name of a chain of American “Nickel” retail department stores operated by Samuel Henry Kress from 1896 to 1981. In the first half of the 20th century, in hundreds of towns, “Streets” were decorated with Kress shops. These shops have become a very classic American landscape, many visitors come to visit.
