About This Tool

Ancient Rome sent many governors to govern different administrative regions in the conquered lands outside Italy. In the process of developing into a Mediterranean hegemon, Rome adopted a different ruling method from that of the Italian conquerors, and established the provincial system in succession in the overseas conquests. In Asia, Rome had at least 299 governors. The random tool collates this governor-specific information in detail.

The Asian provinces were founded in 133 BC and were eventually reorganized by Emperor Augustus, who assigned them to the Senate as consular governors. In the governor of these in power, including their Roman name, the date of power, the details of the ruling cycle, etc. are fully recorded in the generator. At that time, the regions in which there were governors were all vassals of the Roman Empire.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Roman governors of Asia.
