Tony Stark met Thor in The Avengers and kindly referred to him as "Point Break." This gag rears its head again in Thor: Ragnarok, when Thor unlocks Tony's ship by referring to himself as "Point Break."

Captain America has gone through some serious character development. Avengers Steve would be appalled at Avengers: Endgame Steve's bad language. It was a recurring joke that Steve would reprimand anyone who used foul language with a hard, stern, "Language!"

"On your left" is an old in-joke between Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In Avengers: Endgame, he announced his appearence with a casual, "on your left!"

It's been a long running gag in the Guardians of the Galaxy films that Star-Lord never gets his wish of being called Star-Lord. Instead, he's referred to as "Quill," "Peter," "idiot," "moron," even "Space-Lord," but not Star-Lord.

There are a handful of Marvel films that employ the trope of interrupting a long-winded villain monologue. Loki is interrupted by the Hulk in Avengers, Nebula is interrupted in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, even Ultron in Age of Ultron. One of the more memorable moments is when Peter Quill interrupts Ronan the Accuser with a rendition of "O-o-h Child" by The Five Stairsteps.

Despite not saying much, Groot truly can say it all. Groot has so much personality, his tone changes with every response, and his body language is borderline hilarious. As much as we miss adult Groot, we love to watch him grow into a sarcastic, pesky brat with a heart of gold.

It only makes sense The Avengers would argue who's the strongest. In the memorable after-party scene in Age of Ultron, Cap is seen struggling to lift Mjolnir. This comes full circle in Endgame, Cap might not actually be the strongest Avenger, but it's pretty impressive he can wield Mjolnir.

Paul Rudd gave us a stellar comedic performance as Scott Lang, or Ant-Man. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, where Cap and Scott met, Scott never let anyone forget it. In fact, Hope makes fun of him for his casual tone when referring to "Cap" in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Waiting for Buckys's return was like waiting for rain in a drought, and there was a lot to make up for when he joined the crew. One of the best things to watch in Captain America: Civil War is the verbal sparring between Bucky and Sam. This continues in Avengers: Infinity War.

If there's one thing any Marvel fan knows, it's to gear up for an insane battle once Black Sabbath starts playing. Less of a joke and more of an ongoing theme, it's well understood that Tony Stark is a die hard metal and Sabbath fan. When those guitar strings start, get ready for some intense CGI fighting.

Thor means well, but the First Son of Odin is particularly blunt. Starting in the first Thor, the God of Thunder often refers to humans as "small," "tiny," even "puny."

The number 12 is said over and over again, in reference to a range of different topics in many MCU films. It's a throwaway joke that began in The Avengers, and James Gunn picked it up and used it in Guardians of the Galaxy.

It hasn't been outright explained, but Tony Stark hates being handed things. There are some theories as to why, some say it's to distance himself from when he used to sign weapons contracts. Others argue it's just a rich guy eccentric quirk. But Tony voices this quirk in almost every Avengers film.

Since they met in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Drax has a habit of calling Mantis ugly. He even goes as far as to make vomiting sounds and gestures when he sees her.

There are a boatload of MCU characters who lose one of more of their appendages. For whatever reason, it's usually always the arm. Bucky, The Hulkblaster, Cull Obsidian, even Thor loses a hand in Thor: The Dark World.
