About This Tool

Most RAF units are identified by Two-character alpha or alphanumeric combination squadron codes. This code would normally be tattooed on the aircraft and displayed with a single letter or character to form a call sign for a particular aircraft, representing the private aircraft to which the squadron belongs. The position is usually placed on the rear fuselage next to the circular frame of the RAF.

These codes are necessary to distinguish RAF squadrons from other private aircraft. The random tool collates 2,582 squadrons of code, and the generator details important information such as what the code represents and what abbreviations it belongs to. A lot of unprofessional people may not understand it, but if you’re curious, come in and take a closer look at the random tool.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of RAF squadron codes.
