St John’s College is a liberal arts college and the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. It has two campuses, in Annapolis, Maryland, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 1937, the school has been using a unique system of teaching called “Great Books”. Under this system, teaching in schools must be based on a discussion of the great philosophical and literary works of the west.
