About This Tool

The Permanent Representative to the United Nations is the highest profile delegation to New Zealand’s diplomatic corps, responsible for New Zealand’s mission to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, and New Zealand’s education at the United Nations, most important diplomatic representative of the scientific and Cultural Organization. New Zealand has been the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization since 1960.

These Permanent Representatives are usually graduates of prestigious schools, possess high-level diplomacy and good conversation, and must be accredited by diplomatic missions. The Permanent Mission is located at the Embassy of New Zealand in Paris, the French capital and the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
