About This Tool

Trinidad and Tobago is composed of the President, the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate is nominated by the ruling party, the opposition party and the President and appointed by the President; the House of Representatives is elected by universal suffrage. The duties of a member are very important, requiring him to deal with the daily busyness of internal and external affairs, as well as to assist his superiors in other matters.

The political system of Trinidad and Tobago is heavily influenced by the British and is largely based on the Westminster system of government, which is elected by, accountable to, and supervised by Parliament. A random tool collates the names of 15 past and current members of Trinidad and Tobago. Through the generator, we can see all the important information about the members’ time in office, the parties they belong to, how many elections they will be in, the leaders of the opposing parties, and so on. This is important for us to understand the political system of Trinidad and Tobago and to be able to understand the development of the country through these members of Parliament.
