About This Tool

The “NUTS” is a system of economic regionalization in the EU. It is divided into three levels, namely, the main socio-economic area, the regional policy implementation area and the special or functional area. “EU structural funds” mainly for the secondary region. The EU is currently divided into 274“Nuts II” zones (one “Nuts II” zone covers 800,000 to 3m people) .

The NUTS are the code for the administrative territorial entity of its member states. The NUTS’ classification does not necessarily correspond to the country’s administrative territorial entity classification.
