About This Tool

Khu, the Kiev State University, is located in Kiev, Ukraine. Knu is in the top 550 of the college and university rankings. It is one of the oldest university degrees in Ukraine. It was one of the top ten schools in Europe. At present, its structure consists of 15 departments (academic departments) and 5 colleges. It was founded by Nicholas I of Russia in 1789 and was initially named the Imperial University of St. Vladimir Kiev, which has been renamed many times since.

In the Soviet era, Taras Shevchenko, along with the Moscow State University and the Saint Petersburg State University, was ranked among the top three universities of the Soviet era. In many rankings, it is ranked as the best university in Ukraine. Throughout its history, the university has produced many distinguished alumni, including Nikolay Bunge, Mykhailo Drahomanov, Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, Nikolai Berdyaev, Mikhail Bulgakov, Ivan Schmalhausen, Theodosius Dobzhansky, viacheschoril, Leonid Kravchuk, and many others.
