About This Tool

Major League Baseball is the highest level of professional baseball in North America. Founded in 1903 by the National League and the American League, it is one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States. Baseball was the first professional game to develop in the United States. The First Professional League (National Association, National Association, 1871,18751875,1871) was taken over by the National League five years later because of problems in its infancy.
