Doran Martell is the Prince of Dorne. He appears in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and is played by Alexander Siddig on the HBO series A Game of Thrones.
Doran Martell pledged his allegiance to the Lannisters after Tyrion arranged for Myrcella Baratheon to marry Trystane Martell. This allegiance is very shaky as Doran wants revenge on Lannister bannerman Gregor Clegane for the murder of his sister, Elia. Later Gregor Clegane will also murder Doran's brother, Oberyn.
Doran Martell is murdered by Ellaria Sand, who calls him "weak" and chastises him for failing to avenge the murders of his sister and brother, Elia and Oberyn.

(#2) Elia Martell
Elia Martell was princess of Dorne and the wife of the crown prince Rhaegar Targaryen. She died before the setting of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Elia had two children with Rhaegar: Rhaenys and Aegon Targaryen. She was murdered by Gregor Clegane during Robert Baratheon's rebellion.

(#3) Oberyn Nymeros Martell
Oberyn Martell is the younger brother of Prince Doran and the father of eight bastard daughters. He appears in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and is played by Pedro Pascal on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Prince Oberyn is a great fighter, lover, and master of poison. He is devoted to his lover, Ellaria Sand. He serves as one of the judges at the trial of Tyrion Lannister, and offers to represent Tyrion in a trial by combat against Cersei's representative, Ser Gregor Clegane. Prince Oberyn wants revenge against Ser Gregor for murdering his sister, Elia. Ser Gregor murders Oberyn, leading to Tyrion being found guilty.

(#4) Mellario of Norvos
Mellario of Norvos is the estranged wife of Prince Doran Martell. She is mentioned in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, but has yet to make an appearance on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Mellario became estranged from her husband after he sent their son Quentyn to be fostered at Yronwood.

Trystane Martell is the son of Prince Doran and Mellario of Norvos. He appears in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and is played by Toby Sebastian on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Trystane Martell is betrothed to Myrcella Baratheon and accompanies her and her father, Jamie Lannister, on a ship bound for King's Landing. However, he is murdered by the Sand Snakes, who were hiding onboard.

Ellaria Sand is the paramour of Prince Oberyn Martell and the mother of four of his eight bastard daughters. She appears in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and is played by Indira Varma on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Ellaria joins Prince Oberyn on his trip to King's Landing for the wedding of Joffrey Baratheon and stays for the trial of Tyrion Lannister. Her lover Oberyn represents Tyrion Lannister in trial by combat, and Ellaria is horrified to witness his murder by Ser Gregor Clegane, the Lannister bannerman. She vows revenge against the Lannisters.
Ellaria murders Prince Doran in a coup and takes over Dorne with the Sand Snakes.

Obara Sand is the eldest of Oberyn Martell's eight bastard daughters, the Sand Snakes. She appears in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and is played by Keisha Castle-Hughes on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Obara was trained by her father Oberyn to be a fierce warrior. She seeks revenge against House Lannister for the death of her father. She murders her cousin, Trystane Martell.

Like her sisters, Tyene has sworn revenge against House Lannister for the death of her father.

Myrcella is beautiful and kind. In a deal made by her uncle Tyrion, Myrcella is betrothed to Trystane Martell, the youngest son of the Prince of Dorne, and journeys to Dorne to be with him. However, her father, Jaime, fears for her safety and attempts to bring her back home to King's Landing. Before she can return home, she is poisoned by Ellaria Sand and dies.

House Nymeros Martell is a prominent house of Dorne in the epic fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire. Sunspear is the center of their rule. The family crest is a golden gun that runs through the red sun, the golden gun is the family crest of ancient Martell, and the red sun symbolizes Loena. The appearance of the Martell tribe is typical of the Loina people. They have olive skin, black eyes, and black hair, but a few family members have brown earth-colored hair.
