About This Tool

The Flag of Macau is the regional flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region, a green flag with five stars, Lotus Flowers, bridges, and seawater. On 1 February 1991, the Drafting Committee of the Basic Law of the Macao SAR issued a notice to solicit designs for the regional flag emblem. On September 28, 1992, the Flag of Macau held its final meeting in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. In January 1993, the Ninth Plenary Session of the Basic Law Drafting Committee was held in Beijing, and the design of the regional flag and emblem was adopted and written into the Basic Law.
