(#2) Vanillish
Vanillish seems awfully happy for a Pokemon who is probably often eaten alive by mistake. His best attack is probably just giving you a slightly annoying brain freeze. Come to think of it, an artist eating their ice cream too fast is almost certainly the inspiration for Vanillish.

One of Klink's main attacks is something called "Gear Grind." Its very existence grinds our gears, so that is the most accurately named attack in Pokemon history.

(#4) Luvdisc
Luvdisc seems to be the only Pokemon inspired by duck-face Tinder selfies. Also, it is clearly not a disc, so it doesn't even live up to its incredibly shitty name.

(#5) Voltorb
Okay, someone must have been desperate at a deadline. That's the only excuse we can think of for Voltorb. It's literally just a Pokeball with eyes. At least Electrode has a mouth. How does Voltorb even talk? It has no mouth and it must scream.

(#6) Garbodor
Who in their right mind would even want to catch a Garbodor? Just stuff a bunch of trash into a Pokeball and you've got pretty much the same thing. The smell must be incredible.

(#7) Dedenne
We know what a Pikachu looks like, Dedenne. You sir, are no Pikachu.

(#8) Pineco
Pineco seems to have been inspired by countless boy/girl scout craft projects. Just glue some googly eyes onto a pine cone and you too can work for Game Freak designing Pokemon.

(#9) Bunnelby
Bunnelby is your standard issue grey rabbit with giant ears. We're sure that the creator has never, ever seen Bambi or a Bugs Bunny cartoon in their entire life. Bunnelby just sprang forth from their forehead completely developed and is the most original creation of all time. When people think of cartoon rabbits, Bunnelby is the only name that comes to mind.

We were gonna rag on the fact that Ducklett is basically just a duck, but we were too distracted by its cuteness. Seriously, look at it waving at you. It thinks it's people. Aww.

(#11) Exeggcute
Exeggcute is a pile of eggs. Some of which are even cracked. We're pretty sure it was just created as an "eggscuse" to use a "hilarious" egg pun.

We're not even sure why they even bothered drawing Stantler. Why not just take a picture of an actual deer and call it a day? The differences are negligible.

Named after the beloved singer songwriter behind the hit song "Kiss From a Rose," Seel is- wait a minute, you're saying they just named it Seel because it looks like a stupid seal with a horn? That can't be right. They had to have put more thought into it than that? This is first generation we're talking. Pokemon didn't start off that bad, did it?

For some reason, Chandelure is classified as a ghost-type Pokemon, which honestly raises a lot of questions. Did a chandelier die and come back as a Pokemon? Why was a chandelier alive? Does Chandelure have an on/off switch? How quickly did the designer of Chandelure get fired?

(#15) Gothorita
Gothorita is totally the result of an artist dad getting back at his daughter for her goth phase by immortalizing her as a dumb Pokemon. Just look at those sassy, sullen teenager eyes. Gothorita will never grow out of this phase. This is who she really is. Gothorita uses eye roll, it's super effective.

A stick figure is not a Pokemon. We have to draw the line somewhere. Don't draw more of them! That pun was purely unintentional. Don't make us break your pencil.

- Balto II: Wolf Quest, Balto III: Wings of Change, Balto
Muk appears to be made of some sort of toxic waste. That's the only explanation for its weird, purple color. More human waste products should be appropriated for Pokemon design. Show us that discarded styrofoam Pokemon!

Ditto is pretty much omnipotent since it can become any Pokemon and copy their abilities. We guess that's why they must have decided to make it look like a piece of chewed up and discarded bubble gum with a frowny face on it. You can't have it all, Ditto.

I'm sorry, but if your Pokemon can easily be found on the street in Paris, it's not exactly a cutting edge design. Also, can Mr. Mime say his own name? Don't think about that too hard or your head might explode.

We need a new Pokemon for this next generation.

We already have Squirtle. He's a blue turtle.

About This Tool
The Pokemon series is the second most popular video game series in the world, behind Nintendo’s Super Mario series. The Pokemon sword/shield expansion ticket was released at the Pokemon live broadcast on January 9, 2020, the first time the Pokemon series has been released as a paid follow-up download extension. The expansion ticket is issued on a fee basis and is divided into two rounds. Karisma is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2020, and Koonnohara is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020. The extension tickets have been put on sale since 10 January 2020.
