This beloved Muppet Baby who - vanished into thin air once the show wrapped - provided an enthusiastic female presence to the show that saw Miss Piggy freaking out constantly (as she is wont to do), but Skeeter wasn't voiced by some fresh-faced young lady. The person helping Skeeter be her positive little self was none other than Howie Mandel. Maybe Skeeter survived as a prototype voice for Bobby's World?

In Princess Mononoke, Akihiro Miwa doesn't just play a female, he plays a stoic female wolf goddess. He also appears as The Witch of the Waste in Howl's Moving Castle, another Miyazaki film. Although if we're being honest, applying any kind of binary sexuality to Miwa seems kind of silly.

If you were in your teens in the late '90s and early '00s then you remember the weird cartoons that played super late at night on the then burgeoning Adult Swim, and sometimes USA Network. One of those shows was The Oblongs, a cartoon about a family who lived near a nuclear reactor. Billy West, the iconic voice actor, gave life to Anita Bidet, the owner of the Rusty Bucket.

Okay, so Seth Green has actually voiced a lot of female cartoon characters, and weird stop motion animation puppets, but his credit for Jenna Bush is probably the funniest. To be fair to Green, aside from playing iconic nerd roles and appearing on Family Guy, he's voiced most of Robot Chicken's miscellaneous female characters.

Granny Goodness, that scourge of the DC Universe may look like a sweet old lady, but she's actually voiced by two different guys: Ed Asner, and Khary Payton. On performing the voice, Asner said: "I was intrigued. I was titillated - accent grave on the 'tit.'” [Laughs] But honestly, we played around with her voice and came up with something quite campy. It was a delightful camp journey."
