(#23) The Boxing Match Marquee In Pulp Fiction
The marquee for Butch's fight reads "Coolidge vs. Wilson," possibly a reference to the former presidents Calvin Coolidge and Woodrow Wilson, despite the fact that they never actually ran against one another. Subsequently, the names "Vossler vs. Martinez" are listed as the opening fight, a nod to two friends of Tarantino's with whom he worked at a video rental store in Manhattan Beach, CA.
