  • Civil War on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#3) Civil War

Civil War is confined to the closed space of a garbage dump, but if you find yourself within its territory, you're in huge trouble - that is, as long as there's anything you feel guilty about. Civil War uses its targets' feelings of guilt to manifest someone or something they've abandoned, harmed, or otherwise felt guilty about. Whoever or whatever it summons is used to attack the target, both physically and by fusing into a membrane that they try to engulf them with. The membrane shrinks until the target is completely flattened by it. Contact with the guilt-object causes the target to remember everything about their guilty feelings. The only way to dispel the objects is through water.

The Stand has another layer: if anyone in Civil War's territory - or Axl RO himself - is destroyed by the target, they can be resurrected and used to attack the person who took their life. This can be circumvented if the killer doesn't feel any guilt about what they did.

  • Fun Fun Fun on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#1) Fun Fun Fun

Ojiro Sasame's Stand, Fun Fun Fun, is a lot more complicated than its name implies. It lets him control his target's bodies through their wounds - if a wound opens up, the blood forms a seal that Fun Fun Fun can control. But it can only control the affected body part - specifically, the feet and hands and limbs. In order to control the whole body, all four limbs need to be injured.

Also, in order to activate and maintain the effects, Ojiro needs to be standing directly above his target at all times. He also can't lose track of the target's position - any disruption and he loses control. It's not exactly useful for combat - Ojiro does use it occasionally, but mostly he just uses it to mess with people.

  • Weather Report on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#10) Weather Report

Weather Report would be easy enough to understand if it were restricted to its main ability - controlling the weather. By manipulating the atmosphere around it, this Stand can create wind, rain, or lightning at will. It can also increase air resistance, creating defensive barriers to protect its user, who is also named Weather Report.

But Weather Report has an additional ability called Heavy Weather, which is one of the most bizarre things in the whole series. By generating rainbows, Weather Report is somehow able to hypnotize its targets into believing that they are snails. This would be weird enough, but that belief somehow leads them to actually transform into snails. How does this work? Nobody knows.

  • Tusk ACT IV on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#4) Tusk ACT IV

Johnny Joestar's Stand, Tusk, has several different forms known as ACTS. While some of them are pretty straightforward, ACT IV is not. To use this Stand, Johnny has his horse run in its "natural state" which somehow achieves the Golden Spin - infinite rotational energy. By combining this energy with Tusk, Johnny is able to control this energy. Whatever Tusk ACT IV touches will be unable to stop spinning until it's completely destroyed. Apparently, when they disintegrate, they're also sent to another direction. The spinning can't be stopped through any means until this happens - even switching bodies or dimension-hopping isn't enough to do the job.

  • Sky High on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#6) Sky High

One of Dio's sons, Rikiel, is the owner of the incredibly convoluted Stand, Sky High. Through a beetle-frog hybrid attached to his wrist, Rikiel can control Rods, see-through cryptids that feed on body heat. Using the Rods, Rikiel can create localized illnesses in his target. He does this by directing the Rods to suck heat out of a specific body part, making them more prone to illness and dysfunction. These effects can include forcing a person's eyelids shut and blinding them, destroying their muscles, or even attacking their brainstem.

The biggest drawback of Sky High is that before Rikiel could use it effectively, he was subject to the same Rod-related health issues. But they can also impact his body in positive ways - they can numb the nerves in his neck to help him avoid feeling pain and keep fighting for longer periods of time.

  • Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

(#13) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, also known as D4C, is the Stand belonging to Funny Valentine, the 23rd President of the United States. D4C lets Funny Valentine travel from one dimension to another by positioning his body between two objects. He can also pull and swap people with the alternate dimensional versions of themselves. That's how he was able to confuse everyone about who shot Johnny Joestar - he brought alternate versions of Diego and Wekapipo into the world, tricking them into thinking they were shooting each other while they were actually shooting Johnny.

But D4C also has another impressive ability: Love Train. Love Train only works while Lucy Steele is around, since it utilizes a powerful light that comes from her body. This light redirects any misfortune that comes Funny Valentine's way, and has it manifest as a disaster effecting somebody else instead.
