It turns out, Krusty took one for the TV team and knocked it out of the park!

    Fun fact: An alien briefly appears chilling out inside hangar 18, a nod to the famous Roswell crash in '47.

Under the care of Cecil, Sideshow Bob appears to be a changed man, but Bart remains skeptical especially after finding a briefcase full of cash among Bob's possessions. In a surprising twist, it seems that Cecil is the evil brother – at least for a moment – before Bob gets himself in trouble for vowing revenge against Cecil.

    Fun fact: The episode's title references the 1984 sci-fi drama The Brother From Another Planet while the episode itself includes a heavy dose of Fraiser references.

    Fun fact: This episode marks the first appearance of Springfield’s Republican Party Headquarters. Perhaps non-ironically, it’s an old and scary castle.

    Fun fact: This episode's plot parodies the 1962 political classic thriller The Manchurian Candidate.

Once Homer is safe, Bob tries to kill Bart, but is unexpectedly stopped by his own conscience. It's a nice story that highlights the softer side of Sideshow Bob.

    Fun fact: The plot takes its cues from The Silence of the Lambs, while the episode's title is a nod to the 1986 Disney film The Great Mouse Detective.

After finally killing Bart, Bob learns that hunting the perennial ten-year-old was the only thing that ever brought him joy. Bart gets reanimated and then seeks revenge on Bob completing the cycle of destiny. Even if Sideshow Bob is a villain, it was still somewhat satisfying to see him finally kill Bart, even if it didn't last.

    Fun fact: This horror segment was inspired by the 1985 horror-comedy The Re-Animator, which, in turn, was inspired by one of H.P. Lovecraft's short stories.

John Mahoney voices Bob and Cecil's father, Dr. Robert Terwilliger, Sr., adding to more Frasier-inspired fun.

    Fun fact: While the title was taken from an Elton John song of the same name, it could also be a reference to the Superman story arc where he was defeated by Doomsday.

As he's about the press the lift-off button, Bob has a change of heart and later, back in prison, he engages in therapy. The episode also features a Christmas couch gag that is worth tuning in for.

    Fun fact: A title twist spoofing the 2017 movie Gone Girl, this was also the first flash-forward Sideshow Bob episode.

Bob, of course, goes into a murderous rage, but Lisa, who is now joined by Bart, talks him down. While Bart is often duped by Sideshow Bob, it's fun to see Lisa with him for a change.

    Fun fact: This episode was dedicated to Edna Krabappel's voiceover actress, Marcia Wallace.

This episode features a fun reference to Kelsey Grammer's unique voice with Marge pointing out that Frasier on Cheers, Frasier on Frasier or Lt. Cmdr. Tom Dodge in Down Periscope all have voices just like Sideshow Bob.

    Fun fact: This episode finally reveals Police Chief Clancy Wiggum's real age, which is 43. Hard to believe?

    (#15) Bobby: It's Cold Outside

    In one of the newer Bob-centered episodes, Sideshow Bob has a new job as a mall Santa, and his dedication to his newfound craft prevents him from causing Bart any harm. Bob and Bart end up joining forces to figure out who stole Lenny's Christmas gifts and discover that Mr. Burns and Smithers were behind the heist. Bob's performance as Santa warms Mr. Burn's heart and the presents are ultimately returned. Kelsey Grammer gets a chance to sing several times in the episode adding to the entertainment.

    Fun fact: This episode is a direct sequel to "Gone Boy", making it one of only a handful of two-part episodes.
