[Jack Nicholson as Col. Nathan R. Jessep in] A Few Good Men:

...You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way.

    From Redditor /u/Lucas-Davenport:

This one is fantastic, based on a novel by a sitting judge, and contains some of the best courtroom scenes ever.

    From Redditor /u/Cpt_duo:

This movie probably has the best representation of a trial I've ever seen, and the opening interview Jimmy Stewart does with Ben Gazzara is often discussed and analyzed in legal ethics classes. F*cking brilliant film.

    From Redditor /u/two:

I love the subtlety of the ethical transgressions explored in the film, [which] has something no other legal film (that I know of) has: a layer of understanding available only to lawyers (or learned laypersons).

Most films like to beat you over the head with PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT when the plot calls for it. Even worse is the all too common theme of "this is technically professional misconduct but it's okay because we're the good guys." Anatomy... is on another level, because even lawyers can debate the ethical ramifications of the attorneys' conduct (although I'm not sure laypersons could do the same), and there's no "good guy/bad guy" excuse that either side can hang their hats upon.

    Not to mention the acting...

Moreover, it stars Robert Shaw, Paul Scofield, and Orson Welles, and it pretty much swept the Academy Awards the year it came out. So, even if you don't want to watch it as a legal film, you should do yourself a favor and watch it as a simple movie consumer.
