But when he returns for another glimpse at the figure, he finds it closer, its arms in the air, making it less likely to be a figment of his imagination and more likely to be some otherworldly presence in his home.

  (#2) Pets Experience A Frightning Scene Just Outside The Camera's View

  Pet owners know the eerie feeling of seeing your cat or dog watch something you can't see, and this dog owner put their pet's extra senses to the test. Captured in 2008, the footage starts off with radio interference and an orb, but gets substantially weirder. A door opens and shuts on its own, a roll of paper towels goes flying, and the dogs bark and retreat from something behind where the camera is sitting. It's a freaky scene, one that's not easily explained by camera tricks.

  (#3) Gettysburg Ghosts March Through Tourists' Video

  If places that have seen large losses of life are more likely to be haunted, it's no surprise these tourists saw a strange sight on the Gettysburg battlefield. Off in the distance, you can see several figures marching back and forth with a strict uniformity reminiscent of soldiers on a battlefield. The figures are just humanoid enough to attract our attention, but not so clear they feel fake. The whole scene looks like an echo of a past event, perhaps the time before these soldiers met their deaths in battle.

  (#4) A Duppy Haunts And Hurts A Young Boy

  In this news video, a child appears to be haunted by a duppy, a malevolent spirit of Caribbean origin. While the boy in the video claims the duppy is the spirit of a friend, it behaves violently toward him, pushing and pulling him in different directions. Some people have written off the video as a fake, but watching the boy's movements carefully, especially in the second attack, shows him flailing and kicking in ways that don't look like acting. Without follow-up, we don't know whether the spirit ever left him alone or if he continued to be haunted - we're left only with the lasting image of a young boy tormented by a violent duppy.

  (#5) Exploring A Haunted Mine Reveals A Past Disaster

  YouTube user Exploring Abandoned Mines is known for exactly that - exploring abandoned mines. So when he ran into something strange while exploring the Horton Mine in 2013, it was a surprise to all. Upon returning in 2014, he experienced strange machine sounds, an unearthly mist, and what sounded like a woman on a PA system warning of an incoming detonation. While there's not much to see in the video beyond the interior of an old mine, the audio is quite scary - just clear enough to be understood, but just out of place enough to send chills up your spine.

  (#6) Mischievous Spirit Pesters A Video Store Employee

  Anybody who's ever worked a lonely night shift has probably experienced the eerie feeling of something watching you, but this video store employee has proof that something strange was happening. This security footage shows the employee putting away videos, but, more interestingly, it shows strange events happening when his back is turned. The cart moves on its own, as if pushed by an unseen person, and videos begin falling from the shelves. After a few weird moments, the videos fall off in front of him, clearly not pushed by anything we can see. While running away may not be the most exciting response, let's be real - it's what most of us would do if we thought a ghost was messing with us at work.

  (#7) Urban Explorers Accidentally Capture A Ghost In A Hoodie

  Urban explorers have to be prepared for the unexpected, and in the case of this group, they certainly found something unusual. While exploring an abandoned home, this group saw something strange - a dark figure that appeared to be wearing a hoodie gliding by on an upper floor.

  Skeptics claim it's a homeless person or a friend playing the part of the ghost. But it's the movement that's uncanny, as the figure glides eerily by the camera like it's floating, not like it's walking. That, combined with the fact it shows up more than a minute into the video, has many convinced that it's a truly mysterious apparition.

  (#8) Disneyland Ghost Takes A Spiritual Walk Around the Park

  With the number of people who have scattered ashes at Disneyland, it shouldn't come as a surprise the happiest place on Earth might also be the most haunted. This footage from security cameras at the park seems to show a transparent, human-like figure walking through a gate and around the park. The eeriest thing is that multiple security cameras show the same figure from different angles - sure, it might be an elaborate hoax, but the footage is just realistic enough to be creepy and just mundane enough to feel real.

  (#9) A Young Couple Looks To Move After Ghost Apparently Harms Their Child

  A young couple, Joshua Higgins and Heather Brough, set up a nanny cam after they discovered deep purple scratches on their child's face. The scratches did not line up with the baby's own hands, provoking the unsettling mystery. The footage they captured shows a translucent figure moving swiftly across the room as the baby pops up from her crib to take a gander at what is going on. 

  Higgins and Brough recalled several unsettling events in the house, included unexplained noises and the feeling of hands around Brough's neck. They have since left the Michigan home and plan to seek alternative housing solutions for the safety of themselves and their daughter.

  (#10) A Headless Ghost Manifests in Abandoned Building

  According to translations, the kids in this video ventured into an abandoned building for some urban exploring. After some strange dog sounds, one of the teenagers remarks that their full battery is drained, just before a strange, headless figure appears to materialize out of the wall.

  The sound that plays at that moment is reportedly an Azan, or Muslim call for prayer. The two events could be unrelated, or, as some commenters suggest, the figure may be attempting to flee the holy sound.

  (#11) Ghost Train Appears On Camera

  Security footage at a railway station in Baotou, China captured a seriously spooky moment on March 10, 2018. What looks like a ghost train shows up on tape. Headlights appear and then a transparent train rolls into the station. After pausing for a moment, as if it's waiting to pick up passengers, the train pulls away.
