  • (#1) Katy Perry

    In October of 2008, Katy Perry was performing her hit song "I Kissed A Girl" at MTV’s Latin America Awards in Guadalajara, Mexico. After jumping on top of a giant cake, the singer was covered in frosting, causing her to slip and fall as she tried to playfully smear the pink slime on the jacket of her guitar player.

    When she tried to stand up, the frosting-coated stage led to several more falls as the guitarist tried to help her to her feet.

  • (#2) Harry Styles

    During a 2015 show in Toronto, singer Harry Styles lost his footing and fell to the ground when he tried to leap up onto a stage platform. He apparently suffered no injuries as he arose moments later, laughing at his own tumble.

    Only a month earlier, Styles also took a spill at a One Direction concert in San Diego after his mic stand apparently got caught on something.

    At the 2015 Brit Awards, Madonna fell while performing her song, "Living for Love." Her cape, which was supposed to detach during her routine, became stuck, pulling her down the stairs to the stage below.     In July of 2010, singer P!nk was injured in a harness mishap during a performance in Nuremberg, Germany. After being hooked up improperly, P!nk fell out of her harness and was dragged into a barricade. She was rushed to a German hospital following the incident but tweeted from the ambulance that she would be fine.

    During a performance of her song "Me Too" on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Meghan Trainor took a nasty fall, leaving her flat on her back, convulsing with laughter. Fortunately, show host Jimmy Fallon followed suit and joined her in her horizontal posture on the stage.

    According to fans at Dave Grohl's Sweden show in 2015, the Foo Fighters lead singer broke his leg during a fall but continued to perform. Photos show him strumming on his guitar while being attended by paramedics.

    Rocker Marilyn Manson was injured at a concert in September of 2017 when a set piece crashed on top of him. The props appeared to be large metal guns suspended at the back of the stage. Manson was taken to the hospital on a stretcher and canceled his remaining tour dates as a result of his undisclosed injuries.

    During a 2010 concert, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler playfully bumped lead guitarist Joe Perry. Perry then retaliated by bumping Tyler right back, which sent the singer face first into the crowd. Tyler also suffered serious injuries after falling in 2009 while performing the same song, "Love in an Elevator."

    During a Jonas Brothers performance of their song "SOS" at the 2007 America Music Awards, Joe Jonas slipped and fell on shattered glass, cutting his hand badly. The morbid irony of the incident - as found in the song's infamous lyric, "It's like I'm walking on broken glass" - was not lost on the internet.

    In 2010, singer Justin Bieber fell onstage during a series of fighting stunts. Although he appeared to suffer no major injuries, he was recorded limping offstage without finishing the show. 

    In 2016, Bieber took another tumble when he fell into a stage hole.

    Beyoncé suffered a dramatic onstage fall in 2007 during an Orlando performance of "Ring the Alarm." The tail of her floor-length coat got caught under the heel of her shoe, causing her to tumble down the stairs of the stage.

    Several years later, she fell again during a performance of "Irreplaceable" in Brazil.

    At a Miami show in 2001, Bono of the band U2 fell, seemingly into the crowd below, while walking backward onstage. He was able to laugh off the incident, however, by climbing back onto the runway and striking a mock-casual pose.

    While performing "Pop Bottles" at a concert in 2009, Lil Wayne ran across the stage, slipped, and fell flat on his back. He seemed to be alright after the incident, immediately getting to his feet and continuing his performance.

    During Pearl Jam's 2006 European tour, Eddie Vedder fell over while running across the stage. He appears to leap over something prior to the spill but recovers soon afterward - to the delight of his cheering fans. 

    Apparently, this has not been Vedder's only documented onstage tumble.

    As Rihanna began performing "Te Amo" at a 2010 concert in the UK, she lost her balance, causing her to slip and fall before she was even able to sing the first line. Ever the picture of poise, she continued the performance as if nothing had happened, suffering only minor bruises from the slip.

    Legendary performer Lady Gaga slipped and fell at the beginning of her song "Teeth" during a 2009 show in Montreal. After landing on her backside in front of her dance troupe, she quickly composes herself and continues the routine.

    Later in the song, she nearly falls again before catching herself.

    During a March 2010 performance of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" in Columbia, Axl Rose took an unexpected tumble. While casually jogging across the stage, he slipped and landed on his back, giving him a moment of pause amid the screams of the crowd.

    Seemingly unscathed, he picked himself up and continued singing as though nothing had happened. However, this type of tumble would certainly reoccur for the rock star.

    During a show in Japan, megastar Britney Spears, decked out in a bikini and cowboy hat, toppled to the ground while clapping with the audience to the beat. Spears quickly recovered, though, and jumped back to her feet to finish the song.

    In 2015, after slipping onstage during a performance of "Crazy" in Las Vegas, Britney Spears remained seated while her dancers performed around her. It was later revealed that she had twisted an ankle in the fall, which had prevented her from getting back into the routine.

    At a 1996 concert in Leeds, England, singer Robbie Williams fell after doing a jig during his performance of a Lou Reed song. After the fall, he remained on the ground, declaring: "That's a bit embarrassing. That'll teach me for being cocky, won't it? That's not how I saw the end of the song going, to tell you the truth."

    Amid his show of good humor, fans continued to cheer him on as he finished the performance.

    While performing in Los Angeles at KIIS FM's summer pool party, singer Demi Lovato took a spill and landed directly on her face.   • (#23) The Game

    The Game was performing "Compton" at the USC campus on April 21, 2007, when he tripped over one of his pant legs. After getting back to his feet, he began joking about the slip, exclaiming: "I scuffed my Jordans up!"

    This garnered a fresh round of cheers from the crowd.

    In October of 2018, Paula Abdul fell offstage during a concert in Biloxi, Mississippi. While singing "The Promise of a New Day," the singer went to the front of the stage to greet fans, only to stumble and take a spill.

    When Drake performed on America's Most Wanted tour in 2009 with an injured knee, he suffered a nasty fall and had to be helped offstage at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey. He had torn his ACL mere weeks before the show, which also featured artists like Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Soulja Boy.

    Following the incident, Lil Wayne stopped the track and joked around with the crowd while Drake was receiving medical attention.

    The faux pas was brief, however, and with some assistance from Florence Welch, she was able to get back on her feet to accept the crowd's cheers of support.

    During Joaquin Phoenix's stint as a hip-hop performer, he fell offstage during an enthusiastic rendition of "Step Yo Game Up." The incident hardly deterred him, however, as he continued to perform even as he struggled to climb back onstage.

    Fortunately, the post was caught and returned to its upright position before any injuries occurred.

    Fortunately, he emerged unscathed, and with some help from his team was able to return to the stage to continue the performance.

    Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams fractured his left wrist in 2004 after falling off a 6-foot stage at the Liverpool Royal Court. After being helped to his feet, he left the stage while the band played on.

    He was sent to Royal Liverpool Hospital and could not finish the show.
