  The spoiled daughter of Leonard and Sandra Green, Rachel had her share of broken hearts during the series run. Rachel overcame unfaithful relationships with her high school prom date Chip and her ex-fiance Barry Farber, as well as the infamous "on a break" break up with Ross.

  Aniston has had a busy and successful career, starring in a number of films including Along Came Polly, Rumor Has It, The Break-Up, Marley & Me, and The Bounty Hunter. Aniston stills remains close with Friends co-star Courteney Cox and is the godmother to her daughter Coco.

  Ross's younger sister had crushes on Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani (until that one stripping incident). Obsessively clean and highly competitive, she was considered bossy and high-maintenance by her friends. Her parents favored Ross and she was often neglected by them throughout the show, especially by her mother. Monica was the only female member of the group to never be pregnant, despite being the only one who was trying to conceive.

  Kudrow received many accolades for her portrayal of Phoebe on Friends, including an Emmy Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She went on to produce, write and star in the short-lived HBO series The Comeback and starred in the Showtime series Web Therapy. Kudrow has also appeared in a few films since Friends including P.S I Love You, Hotel for Dogs, Easy A, and Neighbors.

  Following Friends, LeBlanc starred in the short-lived spin-off series Joey. He also guest starred with Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow on the Showtime series Web Therapy.

  Chandler was perhaps best known for his wise-cracking, sardonic attitude, odd dance moves, and humorous conversations with Phoebe. The show's creators had thought about making the character gay at the beginning of the series, but ultimately decided against it. However, there were often lines that made other characters question Chandler's preferences.

  Following Friends, Perry began to carve out a career as a dramatic actor. He appeared in five episodes of The West Wing earning two guest actor Emmy nominations and earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for his starring role in the 2006 TNT movie The Ron Clark Story. Perry also starred in the short-lived Aaron Sorkin drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He returned to comedy in 2010 with the ABC sitcom Mr. Sunshine, which lasted nine episodes and the NBC sitcom Go On, which lasted one season.

  Monica's older brother Ross was a twice divorced paleontologist turned college professor on the show. Socially awkward and clumsy but generally sweet-natured, Ross seemed to have a childlike need to always be right.

  Schwimmer has been active with film roles since Friends ended. He was cast as the title character in the 2005 drama Duane Hopwood (which Roger Ebert called a "career-transforming performance'"), voiced Melman the Giraffe in the Madagascar movies and starred in the dark comedy Big Nothing and the thriller Nothing But the Truth. He made his directorial debut with the 2007 Simon Pegg comedy Run Fatboy Run and followed it up in 2010 with his second film, Trust.

  The manager of Central Perk, Gunther had a smoking habit and an adoration for Rachel. His obsession put him at odds with Ross and the two became bitter rivals. James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther was cast because he was the only extra who knew how to operate an espresso machine. He didn't have a line until the 33rd episode.

  Tyler has not starred in many projects post-Friends. He made an appearance in Matt LeBlanc's Showtime series Episodes and starred in five indie films as well as Chicane's "Come Tomorrow" music video. He still acts and also works as a film editor.

  Ross and Monica's father was best known for his ill-timed and inappropriate comments. He often tried to justify his comments with the line, "I'm just saying..." Jack is happily married to his wife Judy and much like her, he seems to favor Ross over Monica.

  Pickles is best known for her long-running, four-time Emmy nomination earning, role of Nurse Helen Rosenthal on the hospital drama St. Elsewhere. Pickles also appeared on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother as Lily's grandmother and played Caroline Montague in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet.

In 2014, it was announced that Rudd would join the Marvel Studios family of films, portraying the title character in their Ant-Man adaptation.

  A sixth grade teacher, Carol was Ross's first ex-wife. She left him shortly before the first episode of the show when she realized that was a lesbian.   Anita Barone played the Carol role in the first two episodes of the show before Sibbett took over. In 2012, she performed on Broadway with Jim Parsons (of The Big Bang Theory fame) in Harvey and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress for her role in A View From the Bridge.

  Joey Tribbiani's chain-smoking acting agent, Estelle wasn't very good at her job. Despite the fact that she and Joey got along well, most of the roles she got for him were as an extra with minimal, if any speaking lines. She even offered him a role in a gay porn. Estelle died during the tenth season, just before the series finale.

  Following a career that began on Broadway in the mid-70s, Gable retired from acting after her Friends stint. She made a one-episode appearance on the TV series My America in 2012, but has otherwise remained retired.

  A handsome ophthalmologist 21 years older than Monica, Dr. Burke was close friends with the Gellers. He became Monica's boyfriend but their relationship began to fall apart and when Monica asked him about their future, Richard saw them in Paris, a happy couple without kids, while Monica was keen on having children. They ultimately bbroke up.

  The former Magnum P.I. star moved on from his Friends gig to play the patriarch on the CBS drama Blue Bloods. Known for his trademark mustache, Selleck also starred as Jesse Stone in a series of eight made-for-TV movies based on Robert Parker's novels and also replaced James Caan on the NBC drama Las Vegas.

  Frank Buffay Jr. was Phoebe and Ursula's half-brother. Phoebe discovers him on one of her attempts to try and find her father, who walked out on her and her twin sister when they were children. Frank Jr. liked to melt things, had a dog named Tumor and believed massage parlors were another term for brothels, leading to the embarrassing misconception that Phoebe was a prostitute.

Ribisi has also been a consistent performer in feature films, starring in Gone in 60 Seconds, Basic, Lost in Translation, Public Enemies, Avatar, Ted, Gangster Squad, and A Million Ways to Die in the West.

  Though she first struck up a relationship with Joey, paleontologist professor Charlie ended up with Ross because they had more in common. They had a rather uneventful relationship before Benjamin Hobart, Charlie's previous boyfriend (and winner of two Nobel prizes) revealed he still had feelings for her.

  Aisha Tyler's career has certainly taken off since her stint on Friends. In addition to her regular role as Andrea Marino on the first season of Ghost Whisper, she voices Lana Kane on the FX animated series Archer, is a co-host on The Talk, and host of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Tyler has also hosted the past three Ubisoft E3 press conferences, appeared in The Santa Clause films, was a guest film critic on At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper while Roger Ebert was recuperating from surgery, and is a regular contributor to Glamour, Jane, and Entertainment Weekly magazines.

  She also published her first book Swerve: Reckless Observations of a Postmodern Girl in 2004 and also plays on the Hollywood Poker Tour for charity.

  Julie was Ross's girlfriend at the beginning of the second season. They knew each other from grad school and were reunited during a dig in China. She entered the lives of the friends at a bad time as Rachel had just learned about Ross's true feelings for her. Rachel felt like Julie stole Ross from her.

She has 150+ film and TV acting credits and continues to guest star on TV series like Supernatural, The Newsroom, and The Simpsons.

  Tag was an attractive mid-20s guy who Rachel hired to be her assistant at Ralph Lauren. She chose him for his looks, confident that her attraction to him wouldn't be a problem. He found out that she liked him and they soon had an affair. Rachel dumped him on her 30th birthday after realizing that he wasn't mature enough for her. He tried to win her back but was scared off when he learned she was pregnant.

  Following Friends, Cahill got to play his childhood hero, hockey goalie Jim Craig in the 2004 movie Miracle. When CBS decided to create a third CSI series, CSI: NY, Cahill was cast as detective Don Flack. He has done stage work and had a role on CBS's Under the Dome.

  Mona was Ross's recurring girlfriend during the season eight. Their relationship began just as Ross learned that Rachel was pregnant with his child. Somerville is also a singer in the music group Band from TV which features other actors such as Hugh Laurie, Greg Grunberg, Brad Savage, and James Denton.
